ABOUT AKIVA GERSH
FOUNDER, HOLY LAND SPIRIT

Akiva Gersh is an educator, musician, rabbi and lover of israel. originally from the u.s., he moved to israel in 2004 with his wife tamar and together they are raising their 4 children, all born in the land of israel.
in 2010, akiva created holy land spirit as a way of sharing the spirit of israel, through teachings, music and worship, with christian groups visiting the holy land as well as a way to build important bridges between jew and christians.
​
akiva is now bringing holy land spirit online, sharing torah/bible classes, virtual tours of israel and song, praise and worship sessions to allow all lovers of israel to feel the spirit of the holy land no matter where they live in the world.
​
in 2017, akiva published his first book, "becoming Israeli", about the experiernce of jews returning home to live in the land of israel.
​
Akiva holds a BA in Religious Studies from Brown University, an MA in Jewish Education from Yeshiva University and rabbinic ordination from yeshivat sulam yaakov in jerusalem.
most importantly, akiva loves israel with a passion and wants to share that love with you!
